IT for people who can't afford downtime.

Technett Biz Solutions Ltd (TECHNET) is a Kenya-based IT company. We build and run the technology that keeps operations moving.

Our story

From the support desk to the whole stack.

TECHNET grew out of hands-on IT support in manufacturing and hospitality — environments where an outage means a stopped line or an unhappy guest, and where "have you tried turning it off and on" isn't a plan.

Along the way we started solving the same problems properly: a network that survives power cuts, email that reaches the inbox, backups that can be restored, and business documents that look exactly how the client expects. Those fixes became a practice — and a growing portfolio of systems we design, run and improve.

Today we bring that cross-discipline experience to organisations across Kenya and East Africa — from single-site SMEs to remote operations reachable only over the internet.

What guides us

Our working principles.

Understand why

A fix without a root cause is a future incident. We dig until we know why it broke.

Write it down

Runbooks, diagrams and change logs — so the knowledge lives in your business, not in our heads.

Protect first

Backups, access control and monitoring before features. Always.

Plain language

Clear options, real trade-offs and honest costs — explained so decision-makers can decide.

Hard-won lessons

Things production taught us.

Shared circuits bite

A clever UPS-relay auto-reset crashed the very host it was meant to protect, because both shared a wall circuit. We threw it out, kept passive monitoring with graceful shutdown, and chose isolated smart-plug control instead.

Silence is a failure mode

A monitoring stack once ran for twelve days scraping only itself. Now every review verifies that collectors, log pipelines and backups are really fresh.

Restart policies aren't guarantees

A backup server stayed down after a routine patch reboot. We added a self-healing timer and a standing freshness check.
